Grief and Loss
I have worked with clients who have experienced loss and grief in their lives as well as those who are anticipating grief and loss. Grief is the normal and natural reaction to a significant emotional loss of any kind. While many people would include death and divorce as obvious painful losses, so are events such as retirement, moving, pet loss, financial issues and health issues, to name a few others. The range of emotions associated with grief are as varied as there are people and personalities. There is no list of feelings that would adequately describe one person’s emotions to loss. Grief is individual and unique. As every relationship is unique, so are the feelings and thoughts each person will have about their specific loss.
